Understanding The ADI Qualification Process
The ADI qualification of instructor training courses is devised by the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) and consists of three stages known as ADI Part 1, ADI Part 2, and ADI Part 3. ADI part 2 also called the driving ability test, analyses your practical driving skills. This test checks whether you can drive at an exceptional level, demonstrate complete control over the vehicle, drive in various road scenarios, and have road awareness demonstrating observational skills. After passing ADI part 2, you will become eligible to apply for a PDI license. This license gave you the legal ability to teach others how to drive. However, the license is only valid for six months. In this phase by instructing others, you can improve your instructional skills.
ADI Part 3
In ADI part 3 your ability to instruct learners will be accessed. You will be asked to instruct a pupil and an examiner will watch over your instructing skills.
